Mothers could get months off work
New mothers in Jersey could be allowed a minimum of four-and-a-half months maternity leave.
The island has no statutory maternity leave and the Jersey Employment Forum is asking the government to clarify the rights of new parents.
It also says new mothers who have been in their jobs 15 months or more should be able to take up to 26 weeks.
New fathers could take up to two weeks paternity leave, if the recommendations are accepted.
Sounds like small businesses could suffer with ruling
