Calls for more foster carers

Post by GD on Tue 06 May 2008, 7:49 pm

Many children in Guernsey aren't getting the foster care they need despite more than forty sets of carers, providing long and short-term help.

The islands Foster Care and Adoption Association department is promoting the service at the Liberation Day celebrations on Friday.

They're hoping to find carers for children ranging from newborns to 16. (from CI online)

I don't think that its so easy to be a Foster Carer now that some many regulations are now that I think that it might put off possible new Foster parents..
