Cabbies want to charge more

Taxi fares could rise for the second time this year in Guernsey.

The Environment Department has been asked for a 3.6% rise in tariffs by the Taxi Owners' Federation.

At the start of the year, there was a rise of 6p per mile.The Department is asking for comments from the public before it makes a decision on the rise at the end of the month

Phew its not cheap getting a Taxi now with this second rise its going to make me think before I book one...

They are going to price themselves out of the market GD i for one would have to be desprate to call one . Its not being tight just i belive it should be a fair price.
