Wind turbines planned off north-east coast

Post by GD on Mon 18 Feb 2013, 8:09 pm

It's been a debate that has divided opinion in Guernsey for years but now plans for renewable energy sources have progressed a step further.

The island's Commerce and Employment Department have announced a commitment to at least ten wind turbines off the north-east coast.

With the focus shifting from tidal power to wind power there are strong views both for and against the proposals.
