Education keeps key GCSE exam results secret

Post by GD on Tue 30 Aug 2011, 6:52 pm

EDUCATION has refused to release GCSE data that would show whether local schools really do outperform their English counterparts.

It published preliminary results last week based on how many pupils achieved grades A* to C, as it has historically, and used the figure to show Guernsey schools achieving a better pass rate 75% to 69.8%.

But the performance benchmark in England is based on five A* to Cs including maths and English results Education withholds.

Why...What is there to hide?
