Planners accused of putting appearance before child safety

Post by GD on Fri 25 Mar 2011, 8:20 pm

OUTRAGED parents say that planners have put appearances ahead of the safety of their children.

The Little Cottage Daycare at Les Petites Mielles, L’Islet, had put up a 1.5-metre fence after being told by the Health and Social Services Department Early Years Service that a higher fence would be more suitable.

But then the Environment Department told the owner of the nursery, Kristina Le Page, to take down the fence, so she applied retrospectively to install it.

The department has now rejected that application (from GEP)

Amazing...
