Jersey and Guernsey join forces for tourism

Post by GD on Thu 13 Jan 2011, 6:26 pm

Tourism leaders in Jersey and Guernsey are looking for more ways to promote the Channel Islands to holiday makers.
Politicians who oversee tourism in Guernsey are planning to work more closely with their counterparts in Jersey on marketing.
The Channel Islands are already being promoted together as a place where British and French influences meet.
An official website, described as a gateway to all the islands, advises people how to plan their holidays.
The commerce and employment department in Guernsey said it had promised to work with Jersey Tourism to identify and create joint Channel Islands marketing plans. (from BBC)

About time the Islands worked together...
