Garraway: 'Things on the up at Daybreak'

Post by GD on Tue 30 Nov 2010, 8:43 pm

Kate Garraway has admitted that there are "early signs" of improvements at ITV's Daybreak.

The former GMTV presenter claimed that the press are now being nicer about the breakfast show and its hosts Christine Bleakley and Adrian Chiles.

"Christine Bleakley said in an interview last week that when Daybreak first launched, she was scared to read the papers because of all the negative stories about the show," Garraway wrote in New magazine.

"The good news for Christine is that in the last couple of weeks the press have been much more positive and, while viewing figures go up and down, there are some early signs of things being on the up."

She added: "The other good news is that ITV is throwing us a big Daybreak Christmas party, so we've all got something to look forward to."

Chiles recently admitted that he was "completely f**king wrong" to assume that the show would be an instant hit with viewers. (from DS)

Sorry the program is boring to me..
