Blanchelande to offer full primary education to boys

Post by GD on Tue 02 Nov 2010, 12:30 pm

Guernsey's Blanchelande College will be accepting boys up to age 11, instead of only age seven, from September next year.

The school, which changed its name from Blanchelande Girls' College earlier this year, has previously only offered full primary and secondary education to girls.

However full primary education will now be made available to boys.

Andrew Dyke, Chairman of the Board of Governors said: "We are often asked by parents whether we would consider taking boys further up the school, and the governors and trustees have been considering this idea seriously for some time now. In particular they have been examining the implications of this change both academically and from a practical point of view." (from CTV)
