BBC Guernsey is top BBC local radio station

Post by GD on Thu 28 Oct 2010, 11:35 am

In the ratings released in October 2010 for radio listening in the British Isles, BBC Guernsey came out on top of the BBC Local Radio stations.
The Bailiwick secured both the highest share (23.4%) and reach (37%) figures.
The radio industry research revealed 19,000 of people in the islands listen to BBC Guernsey each week.
The station's managing editor, Robert Wallace, said: "Listeners know what to expect from us, I'm pleased to say word is spreading across the Bailiwick."
He explained what the station aimed to deliver: "Strong journalism, engaging presenters, great entertainment as well as accurate and relevant information when people need it most."
The figures cover March to September 2010. (from BBC)

I am a little surprised with the figures, I do suspect that they will decline...
