St Sampsonís High mourns a well-liked and respected pupil




Mark Mauger, 14, passed away last week following numerous operations in the UK.


A SCHOOL is in mourning after losing one of its brightest and most well-loved pupils.

Mark Mauger, 14, passed away last week following numerous operations in the UK. He was a keen gymnast, winning two golds and a bronze at this yearís Special Olympics in Jersey.

He attended St Sampsonís High School, where head of year Aaron Oliva described him as a popular student.

Despite serious problems with his heart and lungs, Mark never let his condition get in the way and attended many school functions, he said. ĎPupils and teachers at the Baubigny school are extremely upset by his death.í
