I'm not so much concerned about who picks it up and for what reason - what really bothers me is why people feel the need to drop litter in the first place! When we used to go on the beach all day in the summer (yes we did get days like that) come home time all kids were set to pick up every trace of us having been there - then an adult would go around and inspect to make sure all trace was gone.....I bought my kids up the same way and they are doing the same with theirs - so where is it going wrong???

Its going wrong because many of the offenders have absolutley no respect for anything, some dont even have respect for themselves.

It should be illegal to take glasses on the beach and if anyone sees a group of people leaving without clearing up there should be a hotline in place where people can phone with the area the rubbish is left and the registration numbers of the cars the offenders are in.

But school leavers can get full benifit ( 126 ) the same as a grown man with a family and a mortage whom has worked for years and payed his full contribution ( 50 - 52 weeks )

Seems a bit unfair that someone who has never paid any contributions get the same ( or even more, based on the above info ) benifit as people who have, dont you think ?

Thanks Dell.....

for The Gimp.........School Leavers and StudentsWhat if I have just left school? There
are special rules that allow contribution credits to be given if you
have recently left school. This means that if you go straight into work
from school and that work lasts for at least 26 weeks, you may be
entitled to Unemployment Benefit if you become unemployed later on. To
find out more you should contact the Job Centre. What if I am a student or trainee or have just finished college or university? There
are also special rules that allow contribution credits to be given to
help students, trainees and other people who have recently left college
or university. These special rules mean that you may be entitled to
Unemployment Benefit soon after the end of your course or period of
training, if you have ever worked for at least 26 weeks. To find out
more you should contact the Job Centre.

How long can I receive benefit for? Unemployment
Benefit can be paid for a maximum of 210 days in any one period of
unemployment. But when claims for Unemployment Benefit are separated by
less than 13 weeks, the days paid on a claim are carried forward. This
means that if you have made claims before your current one, the days
paid on your claims might count towards your 210 day benefit total.
Once you have received 210 days benefit you will not be entitled again
until you have worked for an employer for 13 weeks earning at least one
fifty-second of the lower annual income limit. The current lower annual
income limit can be found in Leaflet 50.
