End of term !!!!!

Well that is it the States have finished their last meeting of this term of office. Lets hope we get some that can make decisions next time . I for one have found this house very hard to respect, as some (to be blunt) didn't have a clue what they were doing.

Roll on Island wide voting , and Electronic voting so the result of the vote doesnt end on which Group can shout the loudest.

Read your manifestos carefully and vote wisely we do not want another disfuncional house.

I agree. I hope we shall see a States which will make good decisions. My manifesto will show the sort of island-wide voting which I think is best.

i hope we will see a house who have the interests of the people of guernsey at heart.i also hope we have a house who stop interfering in peoples lives re smoking etc.i also hope we have a house who will not renew condors near monopoly on the sea routes and who will vote for an open skies policy to bring air fairs down.a house who will relook at the failings of 0-10 and rethink the matter,look at what no personal tax increases is doing to the pockets of the working guernseyman,make the rich pay more towards the upkeep of the island,look at waste and sewage disposal and not to sway from their manifestos because its not what the rest of the house thinks is right.there are some sitting deputies who should be voted back in but the rest shall we say have tried and found to be wanting.

I hope we see a house who use our money to get the best out of it
We have seen the cut back have not saved us anymoney
You only have to look at our sea defences
Years ago we have civil engineers who looked after these wall all aound the island ,they knew and recored wha tneeded to be done before things got too bad
Our last house did away with this service ..the results the sea defence have not withstood the storms of time..this is now going to cost us tax payers millions......a stitch in time come to mind
