Criticism over lack of disclosure by Deputies
Nearly half of Guernsey's States members have either failed to hand in a declaration of their financial interests or have done so late.
All deputies should have returned them by the twenty third of May, one month after the election.
States members are required to make to the Greffe a declaration of their financial interests. That could include anything from other paid employment they have, property and land that they own apart from their principal residence, company directorships and ownership and of course interests that their family may have that could influence their behaviour as States members. They also have to keep the Greffe up to date with any changes in those interests.
So who is hiding what?
