T5 man to take over at planning

Post by GD on Tue 06 May 2008, 8:34 pm

A man who worked on Heathrow's Terminal Five is to take over as Jersey's head of planning.
Andrew Scate is the former head of planning for Southampton City Council.
He will replace Richard Joualt as chief officer. Mr Joualt has been standing in for the role since the resignation of Paul Nicholls in January.
As well as Terminal Five, Mr Scate has worked on climate change projects. He will be taking up his new post at the end of August.
He said he is looking forward to working with the planning team at a time when the island is facing questions over how to balance economic, environmental and social aspirations. (from BBC News)

Lets hope he does not get involved with any passenger luggage project's..lol
