Would you vote to save St Sampsons & St Andrews Junior Schools if not why not?
The One and Only....
Re: Kuttlewascher. Jan
Jan with the new school coming on line soon do you think the access is
sufficient if not what are your thoughts on this? And what could be
done to make things safer ? do you think gaining access from the rear
of the site (via green lanes) is appropriate ?

St. Andrews and St. Sampsons primary schools.
The possible closing of these schools is, at the moment, nothing more than an option. It is up for discussion. It may get no further. My advice to the PTAs of both schools is that they should try to suggest an alternative budget to education. Budgets are limited and education have a problem. St. Andrews school and its church are the heart of the parish, whereas St. Sampsons is not. In my parish, there are many parents who feel short-changed, as much more is spent , per head, in the two schools then on schools in St. Peter Port. At the end of the day, education needs to be standardised across the island. We do have a post code lottery as regards desireable schools. A solution that is fair to all children is required. It is not a simple issue.

Thanks for that. I could write a book on the nicknames that I have had. I was born in the Czech Republic but went to England at the age of 2. Here is a joke for you as you are a person with some humour.
To stay in good health every young lady should have a check-up at least once a year.

To Digger.
Safe access to the school is essential. The non joined up Environment Dept. is now playing catch up. The safety of the kids is paramount and the safest option must be pursued quickly.
