Spektrum DX6i Transmitter recall

Post by GD on Wed 20 May 2009, 6:08 pm

The following notice has been issued by the importer:
Product recall
Spektrum DX6i Transmitter

A potential fault in the transmitter could cause the model aircraft to go out of control and fall from the sky while in flight, or the propellers/rotors can spin unexpectedly causing lacerations to users whilst on the ground.
As well as being sold individually, these transmitters have been sold as part of 3 ready-to-fly model aircraft kits, namely -
1. E-flite Blade 400 Mini Helicopter
2. E-flite T34 Mentor 25e PTS
3. Hangar 9 P-51 Mustang Mk2 PTS
The recall affects all models containing the DX6i transmitter with the following date codes, sold since September 2008: 807E, 808E, 809E, 810E, 811E, 812E and 901E including those ending in "US", "UK" and "DE". The relevant codes can be found either inside the battery compartment of the transmitter, or on the outside of the compartment cover.
