Cobo could become alcohol free zone !

A pint in a plastic cup at Cobo could become a thing of the past….
The Castel Douzenier with special responsibilities for beaches has been
in talks with Guernsey's Community Liaison Officer discussing the
possibility of making Cobo Beach an alcohol free zone. Officials are
looking at banning beers on the beach in response to unacceptable
levels of alcohol related litter over the weekend.




Is this overreacting or not ?

such a shame as it is a well know place ,
if drinkers were better behaved with the disposal of the litter this would not happen

The nippers already put their vodka into Coke bottles so it won't worry them.

Could be that Mr N. has had a barney with someone at the douzaine room?

That sounds more like it Spirit , they might even get rid of those stupid speed bumps also.

I was always under the impression that drinking alcohol in a public place was illegal anyway. In most places you are not allowed to walk out of a bar carrying your drink so why should it be any different.
