Purse stolen from Elderly couple

purse was stolen from an elderly couple in St Helier last night (Tuesday).

The incident took place in Broad Street at around 10:30pm.

Jersey Police are appealing for witnesses and describe the suspect as male wearing a fluorescent sleeveless vest over a dark short sleeved shirt with a white Tee shirt underneath.

The suspect is said to have discarded the high viz jacket and his shirt following the incident and walked off towards Val Plaisant along New Street.

It is known that the suspect spoke to two young males on bicycles
as he walked up New Street and the police would ask that the young cyclists contact the police.(Cionline)
