2010 road closures plans released

There are 35 road closures planned in Guernsey for next year, the Public Services Department (PSD) has said.
They include five weeks of work on Fort Road starting in January, and four weeks on the Grange in the summer.
The department published its schedule of work for 2010 to give islanders advance notice.
PSD said it had tried to ensure work around the schools takes place during the holidays to avoid unnecessary disruption.
Other planned closures include work on Les Canichers from late January, L'Hyvreuse Road is due to close for four weeks in February, and the Route De Pleinmont is expected to shut for more than three months from early January. (from BBC)

so all have had warning in advance to make sure you all choose your other route now..but no doubt the papers will be full of complaints again

What I cannot quite get my head around is we have so many road works etc causing disruption which must mean that our infrastructure can barely support the amount of people we have living here now - so when all these people with money move in to get away from the UK tax system - how long will it be before the roads actually collapse - just a thought!!!!
