More high-rise buildingsin Jersey?
More high-rise buildings could dominate Jersey's skyline in the future.
The islands Planning and Environment Minister, says he can't rule out the possibility of 14 story structures being the solution to Jersey's housing shortage.
Senator Freddie Cohen told channelonline.tv: "All I'm doing is repeating the Hopkins view that there is some potential in some locations for tall buildings but very few in number and the predominant height of the town should be 4/5 and six stories."
He added: "I'm supporting the Hopkins View. I don't believe we should have a proliferation of tall buildings at all but I don't want to rule out the potential for someone to propose a magnificent tall building that can compliment the island and produce excellent architecture in the town." (from CTV)
