Retirement village plan for Millbrook

Post by GD on Tue 11 Mar 2008, 10:05 pm

Playing fields next to Victoria Avenue could soon make way for a retirement village.

A joint initiative between the UK landowners, local investors and the Rotary Club of Jersey, published today, could see the Millbrook playing fields, in between the Avenue and the inner road, used to provide up to 75 homes for the over-55s.

The village would include care facilities, cafés, shops, and a new Good Companions Club on land gifted to the Rotary Club of Jersey by the developer.(from this is Jersey)

Sounds like a good Idead
The One and Only....

bad idea, this area was given by the boots family for the benefit of all, not just the rich over 55's, at present kids playing football i.e exercising instead of being cooped up playing video games. who is the developer? THIS BEING THE LAST OPEN GREEN SPACE IN THE AREA.
