Sky the limit for Blue Islands
Local airline, Blue Island is looking to expand their operations.
Speaking to Island FM, Chairman, Derek Coates said they hope to takeover at
least one other airline and are calling for the States to give them a
monopoly on the Guernsey to Jersey route (from Island FM)
Take over another Airline.... wonder if that could be Aurigny?

Re: Sky the limit for Blue Islands
In a radio interview on radio gsy he said that he had inquired about an airline the way he was talking it was in the UK but would not rule out the states airline. What did annoy me was when he was asked about the Strawberry farm & the pottery closing he said places like them and the phone museum were not what the visitors want ,the visitors we should attract are well off ones . that was his argument for getting rid of the trilanders which are not fit for the better off people a quote he used was "who wants to travel in an out of date aircraft when they can travel in a jet stream aircraft"
Well sorry Mr Coates i do not agree with that why should we target just the rich whats wrong with Mr &Mrs avarage who would love to come to Guernsey but the air fares are way to high i dont think they would care what type of aircraft it was if the cost of air travel to the islands was cheaper and see how many would take up the offer.

Re: Sky the limit for Blue Islands
Just put me off flying Blue Island again, everyone is moaning about the cost of getting here and he wants to aim at the rich, so obviously no interest in us normal people.
