Sandpiper take on food outlet at Castle Quay

Sandpiper are to operate the main food outlet to be opened in the new Castle Quay development.

The new development on the Waterfront will include 350 apartments and is due for completion in 2011.

The format and branding of the 7,000 sq ft store is still under discussion but it will include a Costa Coffee outlet.

Sandpiper’s chief executive Tony O’Neill said that the opportunity represented a further step in the development of the company’s retail portfolio.

I don't know, but judging the way that most town centre's are dying that it won't be long before such a thing happens in Guernsey
