Road safety 'key' for new schools.

Post by Digger on Fri 16 May 2008, 9:21 pm

The issue of road safety at two new schools in Guernsey has been raised by the island's new environment minister.
The schools at Les Nicolles are due to open in September but there are
concerns
about the risk traffic might pose to students as they travel. The
previous members of the Environment Department decided not to introduce
calming measures in the area until the schools open.
However, new environment minister Deputy Peter Sirett said safety is key.

The schools, one secondary and one special secondary, are being built on the 22-acre former Les Nicolles vinery site.

I wonder if Deputy Sirett will make a diffrence.
The most successful people are those who are good at plan B.
