Extreme Sports Venue for our Youth
During my time canvassing it became very apparent that we have a percentage of our youth who are engaged in extreme sports. On talking with this cross section of teenagers it was identified that there is the interest and support for a venue but alas there is not the will or funds available for such an important venture.
What are the views from members of this forum in the logistical feasibility of providing such an arena and would it be socially beneficial for this very important section of our youth who lets be honest are demonised at a drop of a hat.

It would be a great Idea, Pete but where would it go, for years they have been trying to turn the "Sunken Garden" at Beau Sejour into a area where these sports could take place, but the States have ducked and dived on ths issue for years..

GD,
Before any venue is decided upon there needs to be a group of like minded individuals who will form an action party and who will take this venture forwards covering all the necessary areas that require addressing so the end result is favourable.
The venue is a problem and one that can be overcome if enough support is given along with funding. The sunken gardens would not be an ideal site I fear on one of the grounds being it is in the middle of town and open to vandalism at weekends, there are plenty of vacant sites around the island which can have a change of use.
