Sewage to be pumped into sea
Untreated sewage will be pumped into the sea from the Red Lion outfall in Guernsey this week.
Warning signs are being put up on slipways and on the beach.
Sewage is being tempoarily diverted to the Red Lion outfall tomorrow so that engineering work can be carried out on a new auxiliary pumping station at Belle Greve.
It's part of a £4 million upgrade of the island's sewerage system and could pave the way for full sewage treatment in future.(from CI tv)
That will upset surfer's against sewage..
