Clean up Delancey Park call

ST SAMPSON’S residents are concerned about anti-social behaviour at Delancey Park and the poor state of the area.

They have complained about the amount of broken glass and rubbish littering the park and the nuisance factor of youths who gather there. Debbie Blackburn, who lives in Church Road near Regency Bedding, said her young children were afraid to play in the park.

‘I’m happy for them to go there but they always come back after 10 minutes because they’re intimidated by the groups of teenagers. I’ve heard them shouting foul abuse at the neighbours or people just walking past. While I can turn a deaf ear, I don’t like it at all when there are kids around.’

Chief Inspector Ruari Hardy said police were aware of the anti-social behaviour and criminal damage at Delancey and patrols were being stepped up as a result (from thisisguernsey)

I have to say the park would not be my choice for walking around especially in the evening..

My sister lives down that way and says it is getting worse with the noise and drunken behaviour. It might be a bit better if they do step up patrols.

they need to have automatic irrigation put in....coming on at intervals in the evenings
