SATS in Education

Post by GD on Thu 15 May 2008 - 20:43

Getting rid of SATS hasn't affected teaching standards - according to the Education Department.

It comes as MPs in the UK are calling for the national tests for ten and eleven year olds to be reformed.
But Jersey stopped SATS a few years ago because of concerns over too many tests.
Jeremy Harris from Education says it doesn't seem to have affected other exams like GCSEs.

I do think that SATS were a waste of time..
