New register for gas installers in Guernsey

After April identity cards will display the yellow Gas Safe logo

People installing gas appliances in Guernsey will have to register with a different group in future.
The Commerce and Employment Department said last year Guernsey would follow the UK in using the Gas Safe Register from 1 April.
The island's database is currently maintained by the Council for Registered Gas Installers.
It said the only change for the public would be a new logo on the identity cards worn by registered installers.
Members of the public wishing to make enquiries or complain will, from the 1 April 2010, have to contact Gas Safe through its website or by calling 0800 408 5500.

I know installers at Guernsey Gas are only Corgi Registered while doing work for Guernsey gas, I wo0nder if this will allow them to be individualy registered?

No, will be the same, the company holds the registration. Same with oil.

As it is totally unpoliced, it does not make much difference at the moment.
