ADMIN QUESTION OF THE WEEK 3
If there was one thing you could change overnight in Guernsey what would it be?
......THE BOSS......

"Kindness costs nothing, it is such a small gesture to make,
but has such a HUGE impact on people,
which makes it worth it's weight in gold"

"If there was one thing I could change overnight in Guernsey".
This sounds like my nirvana ! You don't clarify whether it would be an accomplishable thing or just a purely wishful thought !
On the wishful thought side it would have to be the best possible healthcare for every individual. In practice I know this is just unaffordable, both in terms of money and personnel, but what a dream !
On the accomplishable side, out of many many possibilities, I think a government and Civil Service that works coherently, cohesively and efficiently, maybe a long shot, but I'm sure we can do better than we do now !
Cheers

Re: ADMIN QUESTION OF THE WEEK 3
So many things need to be done, but a culture change to genuinely open government could be achieved overnight.
Senior deputies and civil servants need to change their attitudes so that we can all see the priorities and policies being developed by the Policy Council, Departments and the Law Officers.
Planning applications and agendas and discussions of many Departments could be open to press and public.
Good luck with the forum..........Rhoderick
