Only tonight we were talking about acts and althogh we used to sell out the Chubby Tributes, the last couple of times we had a hard job selling the show, the real Chubby is too expensive for anywhere except beau sejour.

There are a few comics in the pipeline

The staff we have at The Wayside are the key to the places success, we get more comments about the staff (all Good) than anything else, The food has always been good and now we have 3 chefs, we are able add a few extra special meals to the specials board so Monday - Saturday there are always a few extra meals on the board, at this time of year local Fish, Crab and Lobster are usually available.

And the Steaks are as good as anywhere in the Island, I recommend the Ribeye.

Advertisning is always the problem, when your talking about a quiz night mid week your not likely to fill the place so spending much in the press or on radio is not really practical so we just advertise around the hotel and on the Bridge,
I have got Posters if anyone has a place for one to go let me know.

Same for our Friday and Saturday dance nights as its Free Entry we have to rely a bit on our regulars spreading the word and out TV Stips in the Globe.

We missed the Quiz Night... blast, blast and bother! (Of course I'd have wanted to have had them use a USA box of Trivial Pursuit cards [the wife will know your questions, I'll have to sit back and be the ignorant Yank.])

We enjoyed Chris tho'... and the food and atmosphere, the publicans and bar folk, the managers and wait staff, everything. Especially the homey references to Jellystone park, and the pic-a-nic basket hunting bear, Yogi and his entourage, Suzi and Boo-boo and his friends!

I look forward greatly to a return to the Isle...and one of our first stops will be the Wayside!
