Milk deliveries under threat

Post by GD on Fri 04 Jul 2008, 2:42 pm

A Guernsey Deputy has hit out at the Commerce and Employment Department in an open letter on milk retailing.

For nearly three years the Department has been trying to reform the way milk is sold in the island.

Last spring the States instructed the department to issue licences to milk retailers following an amendment by Deputies Mary Lowe and Dave Jones.

Now Deputy Jones says milk retailers' livelihoods are threatened by the delay in giving out the licences.

He's calling on the department to sort out the situation to protect continued doorstep deliveries of milk. (from CIonline)

Its about time this was sorted out....
