I now have a lot more time and will be doing what I should have done before,

The Wayside is a a little special to me as I have been entertaining there for over 34 years, and there are not many places like it in Guernsey or in the UK for that matter,

I know many acts that love performing at the wayside because of its atmosphere.

I remember what I was young and the Williams ran the Hotel. I saw a lot of floor shows ... The Black Bottoms were a big crowd puller in the 60s, I always thought that the hotel lost it's way in the late 70's onwards.

But Wayside I hope with your enthusiasm and contacts , this will bring the Hotel back to life...

We are thinking of Wednesday Nights Having an Open Mike Night but need to find a few people to start it off so will advise

How about a strip show, Wayside. They used to be great back in the good old days

Thats one of the things of the past that can stay there

I am working on Comedy Club Nights but not Strippers

But they were great fun, always a full house, whitewoods, savoy, vazon bay hotel, happy landings (forest hotel) la trelade etc ah well, just a suggestion.
Back in the day, a guy named Andy Feet appeared in cabaret at the Wayside, this guy was Funny (and i mean Funny), Excellent entertainer, many others too. I wish you luck with your ideas Wayside, and i will vote with my feet & support these events.
Btw, if you do have "open mike" nights, get kk there, she sings very well !!

Thats a lot of Strip Shows, You did get around a bit, suprised you lived through the 60s 70s LOL

The dance nights this month have been very popular so hopefully some of you will give it a try

For any of the older generation, I have been speaking with an act that did 2 summer seasons in Guernsey in the 70s, Bruce Thompson, The One Man Band, he won New Faces in 1976 and that year was at The Wayside for the Summer, in 1978 he was at The Carlton.

He is looking forward to coming over and meeting some of the firnds that he made while here and we will sort out a show, the date we are looking at is 13th Sept, Bruce does Comedy, Vocals and of course the One Man Band.

how about getting chubby brown over or a tribute act? that would be a sell out Wayside!
